A Message From Mr Morton
What a fun filled half term it has been here at Buckland St Mary C of E Primary School. As I walk around the classes each morning I am always energised by the marvellous activities and enthusiasm that permeates out of every classroom. The children are always so keen to share all of the amazing activities they are working on and the great learning they are engaged in. Ash class have taught me lots of new things about growing things from seeds, Oak class have blown me away with their technical understanding of the water cycle and river systems and Beech class have wow’d me with their geographical understanding of Costa Rica and how to dissect a plant into its component parts! It makes me wish that I was still a school child (feel free to add in a sarcastic comment under your breath here!).
Our wear it wild day was a success, raising over £70 for the WWF. Thank you to Max and the whole school council for making this event possible. You all looked amazing in your animal costumes!
Our children really do shine their light brightly over our community and the wider world around us. Have a well deserved and restful break and we look forward to welcoming you all back after the half term break.
