FOBS is the group that provides fundraising for the school and its pupils, raising money for items not already provided for in the school budget.

All parents/carers of children attending Buckland St. Mary School are automatically members of FOBS, although attendance at meetings and helping at events is not compulsory but always very welcome! As a committee we are always very eager to hear new fundraising ideas from parents and welcome fresh thoughts and opinions to improve the effectiveness of the committee for the benefit of our school.

We aim to hold one major event each term be it a quiz, cream tea or bingo night as well as smaller events such as coffee mornings and cake sales. FOBS also assists school events where requested for example providing refreshments at Sports Day and Open Evenings. Our newest project in 2015 was Christmas Cards individually designed by the children and professionally printed. This raised over £150 not to mention wonderful keepsakes for children and families.

Our biggest fundraising event is our annual May Fayre, which in 2015 raised over £2000. Monies raised go towards an array of costs such as subsidised school outings, sports trophies and end of school discos.

FOBS look forward to your participation in any way you are able. Please remember that all funds raised go directly to benefitting our children and our school.
